Mural Painting Workshop:

Have you ever been walking around town and noticed all the street art? Have you ever wondered what it's like to paint on a large outdoor surface, like mural artists? Join us at Mario Park to try your hand at large-scale painting, just like the street artists! Visual artists and musicians will be there to inspire and guide you on your creative journey. Using spray paint, acrylic paint, stamps, and more, we'll create three large paintings on wooden panels together. Enjoy live improvised music from Fred Bazil and the Improv Contact Workshop while you paint. For this creative community collaboration, let the soundscape inspire you. In addition to the mural painting, we'll set up tables with a variety of art supplies for everyone to use.

Sign up to participate in the mural project, as places are limited!

ImprovContact:

Collective musical improvisation workshop with Fred Bazil. Come and play! Explore personal expression through...

Harmonious dissonances, abstract melodic conversations, changing temporal events, the sharing of beauty, turbulence and serenity.

Free, every month since 2007. Open to all forms of art, all levels and all ages!

Bring your own instruments (a drum kit will be available on site, but no electricity or piano).
